Chakra Efendi grew up between two worlds. Travelling between their father’s home village in Indonesia and mother’s home in Australia, this dichotomy became the bedrock upon which Chakra’s music was built. Efendi’s noise-tinged, sullen-yet uplifting soundscapes and heavy-lidded lyricism has evolved from late-night bedroom-pop project to formidable must-see live act.
