Shandy is a dance party based in Meanjin (Brisbane) for the queer community, featuring artists from across mediums, including drag, burlesque, theatre, live music, DJing, visual art, and film. It is rooted in a proud history of parties that allow queer people to emancipate themselves from the shackles of society, be themselves, and ultimately bring community together. After starting off at popular local bar, Black Bear Lodge, it has now grown to regularly selling out The Tivoli while still staying true to its roots with monthly event, Diet Shandy, continuing at Black Bear Lodge.
