Katina Olsen
Katina Olsen is a proud Wakka Wakka and Kombumerri woman. Katina’s choreographic interests interrogate her Indigenous cultural dance and story through various forms including theatre, moving sculpture, film and installation.
Choreographic highlights include Yalu Dad and namu nunar for Festival 2018, Cleverman 2 and Walking into the Bigness. Katina created Min Min for QUT’s 2017 Graduation and choreographed Mother’s Cry for Sydney Dance Company’s New Breed 2018.
Katina is currently in development of Noc Junygan (Night Sky) with Polish UK based artist Aleksandra Borys and is also continuing development of her solo work namu nunar for full length presentation in 2020/2021.
