Kinbaku Dreams
Kinbaku literally translates as ‘binding tightly’, yet in Japan it’s actual meaning describes a unique journey… an often unspoken intimate communication achieved through deft utilisation of rope. With historical roots in ‘fast capture’ techniques used by bushido warriors during the early 1400’s, the martial art (then known as Hojojutsu) has evolved into a performance art form like no other.
For the person being tied the closest analogy is a form of mediation that is achieved through the consensual restraint, bordering on ‘assisted yoga’, where the rigger transitions his model through the air like a master puppeteer. The result is a sensualized, blissful journey shared between those involved that evokes an incredibly wide range of emotions from audiences.
PrimeOrdial started tying regularly in 2004, and in late 2007 discovered Japanese rope bondage, which now dominates his alternative lifestyle. Having learnt under 18 different rope masters, including Kazami Ranki, Hajime Kinoko, WykdDave, Esinem, Yukinaga Max, Nawashi Kanna, & Otonawa. And now, PrimeOrdial has begun sharing the knowledge he has gained over the last 8 years.
