MYSTERYFACE is a new interdisciplinary collaboration between sculptor and performance artist Adrienne Kenafake and musician Andrew Hodges. The project has arisen in light of their recent work together at Springtime Ritual and Crystal Cloudwomb. Emerging from their shared interest in experimental performance, absurdity and the superphysical, MYSTERYFACE is a meeting place for their skills and artistic processes to combine. The project derives its name from the human need to find familiarity and meaning in seemingly random and unrelated forms.

The Floor is Lava

‘The Floor is Lava’ is an undulating experience in experimental movement, object and sound that culminates in the creation of a pareidolia-informed sculpture. Audiences of the Space Between Notes stage at Yonder 2021 will experience a meditative, dream-like journey that is both auditory and visual. The performance will have a continuously evolving focus, drifting between live sound and manipulation, synchronised movement, live sculpture and aerial dance. These interwoven elements are dramatisations of the slow, yet highly volatile geological processes which shape the earth.
