Paper Wildflower Making Workshop
Chony from Chony’s Art Room who is an expert arts facilitator will be guiding people in the art of flower making using layers of paper. Based on the principals of origami and mindfulness people of all ages can come together to cut, fold and join colourful flowers of all colours, shapes and sizes. Used as a head piece, to pop in your pocket or to hold, these flowers are a beautiful addition to everyone’s life.
Through the repetitive nature of paper folding, like walking in a flowering garden people find themselves at ease while creating these native flora inspired paper flowers.
Children and adults alike enjoy the simplicity of joining and folding layers of coloured paper together, adding particular features of native flowers by cutting petals and adding slices of paper to represent the pistil and anthers of the flower there are constructing.
These flowers can be worn as a brooch, carried as a bouquet, hung in their camp for some extra colour or tied in their hair.
