One of the popular mainstays of Brisbane’s indie arts scene is the wild, raucous, infamous community of Ruckus Slam! Over the years Ruckus has grown from a small open mic event to a community of jurassic scale, hosting slams, cabarets, immersive theatre, music, comedy and in 2019 even their very own indie arts festival!

This year at Yonder, Ruckus will host an immersive poetry workshop for anyone who’s got a voice inside them waiting to be unleashed. Then, bring your work along to the obligatory open mic slam and share it with the world!
