Squidgenini is an rnb vocalist/producer/DJ from Brisbane/Meanjin. Known for her distinctive beat driven sound and big soul vocals, Squid delivers a depth, playfulness and authenticity that audiences naturally gravitate towards. Squidgenini has a history of laying low, releasing her music online to a dedicated and growing crowd, with her most recent single Trigger Me (2019), receiving over 100k streams. Live, Squid’s shows are intimate and engaging. With humble beginnings as a solo bedroom recording project in 2013, Squid has evolved into one of Australia’s most exciting emerging acts in the alt-pop/jazz/soul scene. She’s played Big Pineapple Festival (QLD), shared a lineup with Nai Palm, and supported Kilo Kish and ABRA. Her highly anticipated debut body of work Take Me Out is being released in early 2021.
